Understanding Mental Health

Course Fee: Fully funded, free for all participants add

Duration 2 days
Course Outcomes
  • Learn to create respectful relationships that support recovery and come to understand principles of duty of care and dignity of risk, self-care and managing stress
  • Explore different understandings of mental ‘illness’
  • Hear real-life experiences of mental ‘illness’ and recovery
  • Understand what can impact on wellbeing, mental health and recovery
  • Discover the multiple, significant impacts of trauma and ways to encourage people to discover the supports that work for them
  • Gain new insights on duty of care and risk
  • Support a person’s self-directed recovery goals
