Meet our CEO

DR EVELYNE TADROS, Chief Executive Officer

Dr Evelyne Tadros is a passionate advocate and dedicated humanitarian who has made a difference to thousands of people and families during the course of her career by developing and implementing a range of homelessness, mental health, drug and alcohol, disability and youth programs. Evelyne is a former Mission Australia State Leader (NSW Metro) and a past Chair of Homelessness NSW.

With a Doctorate degree in Health Science, Evelyne has a deep history of improving health and wellbeing, leading operational and strategic development, policy and advocacy and systemic improvements across a range of government and non-government programs.

Evelyne has a wealth of governance, compliance and leadership experience and is a current Board Director with Mental Health Australia, St Vincent de Paul Society (NSW) and as a St John Ambulance Board Director.

Evelyne’s passion for making a positive impact and her dedication to social justice are the driving forces behind her exceptional leadership. Her strategic vision, coupled with her ability to navigate complex challenges, positions her as a catalyst for progress in the community mental health sector.

 

Meet our board

Our Board of Directors include elected Directors who are representatives of non-government organisations in the community and up to two appointed Directors. The Board is the governing body and responsible for the overall governance, strategic direction and management of Mental Health Coordinating Council to promote a strong community mental health sector.

 

Judi Higgin, Chair

MBA, B Soc Sci, Dip Frontline Mgt, Adv Dip Disability Services

Passionately employed in human services over 30 years, including C-level and executive roles, Judi is committed to principles of recovery, empowering individuals to achieve their potential by exercising choice and control over their lives. Judi has strong skills and experience in governance, strategy, finance and risk management and comprehensive board experience given her tenure as a Director and Chair of Mental Health Coordinating Council and other community mental health organisations.

 

Dario Molina, Treasurer

B Commerce

Dario is the CEO of CBHS Corporate Health, a provider of private health insurance and corporate wellbeing programs. He has over 20 years experience in management roles within Australia and abroad, in areas such as strategy, finance, operations, risk management and business administration. Dario holds a Bachelor of Commerce, is a Chartered Accountant and a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Dario feels that there is an obligation for governments, corporations and the not-for-profit sectors to work together to create a system that is heavily weighted to community care

 

Jonathan Harms, Director

BA Laws

Jonathan has worked as a plaintiff lawyer, public servant, policy advisor and stakeholder manager for a variety of State and Federal Ministers, private corporations and non-government organisations. As CEO of Mental Health Carers NSW, he created the Carer Peak Advisory Committees to enhance stakeholder participation in policy development and the Carer Support Worker Forum to enhance networks for carers across NSW.

 

Mariam Faraj, Director

B Soc Sci, Grad Dip Ed, Dip Leadership & Mgt, GAICD

Mariam is the General Manager of Clinical Services at Central and Eastern Sydney Primary Health Network. Mariam has over 20 years experience in community, primary and mental health care, including roles such as Director of Health Service Delivery and Associate Director of Mental Health at South Eastern Sydney Medicare Local. Mariam believes it is important that community managed organisations are supported as they adapt to a rapidly changing policy and funding environment, and that they continue to promote the value and success of mental health support delivered in the community.

 

Mark Orr, Director

B Sc (Hons), M Hlth Serv Mgt, M e-Hlth (HI), Grad Dip Spec Ed, Grad Dip ACG, Grad Cert App Fin and Invest, GAICD, FGIA, FCIS, Registered Psychologist

Mark is an experienced Board Director and governance professional with extensive experience in senior executive roles in community managed and public sector organisations. Mark was appointed a Member of the Order Australia in 2019 for services to community health and is currently the CEO of Flourish Australia. Mark has a specific interest in service redesign, innovation and evaluation, and, in particular, the use of technology to deliver information and supports to people with lived experience, their families and carers.

 

Shane Jakupec, Director

B Theol, MSocW

Shane works as a Regional Manager at Neami National and is passionate about providing mental health support and homelessness outreach to Australians from all walks of life. Shane’s background as a support worker and mental health training facilitator continues to inform his leadership in the not-for-profit sector, particularly in his advocacy for unhoused members of the community.

 

Priscilla Brice, Director

MBAx (Social Impact), GAICD, CF

Priscilla Brice is the CEO of BEING – Mental Health Consumers, the peak body in NSW for people with lived experience of mental health challenges. Priscilla has lived experience and identifies as neurodivergent. Prior to leading BEING, Priscilla was the Managing Director of All Together Now, a racial equity organisation she founded in 2010, for 12 years. Priscilla has held roles at several social justice organisations including Australians for Native Title and Reconciliation and Oxfam Australia.

 

Kirsten Jordan, Director

B Soc Sc (Psychology) (in progress), Adv Dip SA Min

Kirsten is currently the State Leader Sydney for Mission Australia and has over 15 years of leadership and management experience in the community services sector in the areas of homelessness, child and family services, community development, childcare, employment and mental health. Kirsten has a special interest in advocacy, supporting the sector toward better service integration, quality service provision, access, awareness and the creation of better life opportunities for those experiencing mental health concerns.

 

William (Bill) Campos, Director

BSc, MA (Psych), MPsych, FAPsS

William (Bill) Campos is the CEO of the not-for-profit organisation, Independent Community Living Australia. William is a passionate advocate for people who experience complex mental health conditions, their families and supporters. William’s time as a health executive and clinical and child psychologist have informed his work as a leader in the mental health, disabilty, allied health care, and social & community service sectors.
