Join the latest webinar in our Advocates & Allies series – Loneliness, social isolation, and mental health.
Almost 40% of NSW residents experience loneliness at varying degrees, with those facing mental health challenges almost twice as likely to feel isolated. In August 2024, an inquiry was established to report on the prevalence, causes and impacts of loneliness in NSW, Chaired by Dr Sarah Kaine. The inquiry received 146 submissions from a wide range of voices, reflecting the complexity and breadth of the issue.
This latest webinar from the Advocates & Allies series, explores the impacts of loneliness and social isolation on mental health, drawing on insights from the recent NSW Inquiry. Hear from key voices including Committee Chair Dr Sarah Kaine, Relationships NSW CEO Elisabeth Shaw, and Lifeline Chief Research Officer Dr Anna Brooks, to deepen your understanding of how these issues affect people with lived experience, carers, and mental health professionals.
