Safe Storytelling: online

This online workshop will improve the skills of participants who use their lived experience in service provision.

Course outline

The Safe Storytelling online workshop teaches participants about purposeful, meaningful and sustainable storytelling, which can help guide interactions that require shared storytelling of lived experience.

Participants will be given the chance to craft their own purposeful story, and be equipped with the knowledge to understand safe disclosure.

Please note: this course is being offered in either a morning (10am – 12pm) or afternoon (2pm – 4pm) session on 1 June 2022. Please specify on your enrolment form which session you are registering for.

What you will learn

The workshop will:

  • support learning for those who directly use storytelling in their role
  • heighten managers and supervisors’ understanding of the background and basic tenets of safe storytelling

  • Peer Support Workers
  • Workers who use their lived experience as part of their service provision
  • Managers and supervisors of workers with lived experience

Pre-work: A self-paced CoAssemble module will be sent to you two weeks before the training date. It must be completed BEFORE the webinar.
