Support for an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice to Parliament

At the final meeting of 2022, the Mental Health Coordinating Council Board determined to support the establishment of a constitutionally enshrined Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice to Parliament.

As expressed in the Uluru Statement from the Heart we believe this substantive constitutional change and structural reform will deliver a fuller expression of Australia’s nationhood for all. We encourage all our readers to learn more about the Voice ahead of the upcoming referendum.
