  • Back On Track Health (BOTH) assists Richmond PRA consumer members to improve their physical health through education, building awareness, creating partnerships with health providers and strengthening organisational commitment. A range of BOTH resources support active participation in self-management. For more information contact:

  • Fitness Australia - Lift for Life
    Resistance training program designed for adults with (or at risk of developing) type 2 diabetes and other chronic conditions.

  • HEAL ™
    HEAL (the Healthy Eating Activity and Lifestyle program) is a lifestyle modification program facilitated by university-trained allied health professionals. It supports participants to develop lifelong healthy eating and physical activity behaviours. HEAL offers eight weekly group exercise and education sessions. The sessions include an hour of supervised low to moderate intensity physical activities followed by a one hour healthy lifestyle education class. One-on-one health consultations assess individual’s current health status and fitness, while also measuring progress, planning an appropriate exercise program and providing ongoing support. This program is available through some Primary Health Networks (PHNs), for example in South Western Sydney:

  • NSW Cancer Council

  • The Healthy Sports Initiative
    The Healthy Sports Club Initiative is a free, three-year membership program from Cancer Council NSW. It’s designed for junior cricket clubs and aims to create a healthy, cancer-smart environment for club members and their families. There are currently 30 clubs in NSW helping test the program.   • Mood Active
    Group exercise classes which are targeted to people living with depression, anxiety, bi-polar and other  mood conditions. It currently operates in a number of Sydney metropolitan areas. Exercise options include cardio tennis, pilates, yoga, gym circuit training and running groups.
