MHCC is committed to working closely with members, consumers, carers and the community to inform and guide our work.
MHCC participates broadly in consultations conducted by State and Commonwealth governments and other public and community-based agencies and organisations on mental health policy and practice reforms and related matters.
Consultation that MHCC facilitates may be external consultative processes or our own research and project activities.
These consultations may be conducted in various formats including workshops, forums, or via surveys and requests for feedback via online communication channels. These processes advise submissions and publications and continue to inform our ongoing work.
MHCC Ongoing Consultations and Surveys
MHCC conducts an annual member survey to gauge levels of interest in policy and sector reform issues and initiatives. This feedback informs MHCC's work and strategic planning processes.
We also regularly invite members and the sector to provide their perspectives on specific discussion papers for submissions and project work.
We also conduct CEO forums, seminars and other major events such as conferences and regional forums.
Details of any current specific consultations being held by MHCC are listed on our events page.
The NSW Law Reform Commission is reviewing the Guardianship Act 1987 (NSW). MHCC will provide preliminary submissions to this review by Monday 21 March 2016.
