3 Steps to Effective Support Facilitation

In 2013 MHCC Learning & Development developed a specialised training product for the emerging Partners in Recovery (PIR) workforce.

Step 1 thumb

Navigating Support Facilitation is the essential first step in preparing PIR Organisations to make the shift from traditional case management to a truly coordinated approach to service provision.

Navigating Support Facilitation is designed to give PIROs a strong foundation in how to build and maintain collaborative partnerships between consumers and carers and the services they need.

But mastering the art of partnership development is not the end of the story. PIR teams need to identify and respond appropriately to the individual needs and circumstances of consumers and carers. There are no one-size-fits-all solutions.

Step 2 thumb

Does your team have the knowledge and experience they need to support people with complex needs?

Staff at all levels of a Partners In Recovery Organisations need to be able to connect consumers with a wide range of services including:

  • Mental health
  • Youth and family
  • Alcohol and other drugs
  • Supported accommodation
  • Employment
  • Trauma-informed care
  • Aboriginal affairs
  • Advocacy and legal support
  • Aged care

MHCC can offer a range of next steps in training for your organisation. Mix and match the training solutions to suit your organisational needs across our half, 1 day and 2 day workshops.
