Mindfulness in the Workplace

Professional Development Series

Introduction

Use clear, focused thinking in the workplace.

"Self-awareness means the ability to monitor our inner world - our thoughts and feelings - it trains our attention to notice subtle, but important signals, and to see thoughts as they arise rather than just being swept away by them." Daniel Goleman

Mindfulness in the Workplace is designed to increase staff self-awareness, improve concentration and enhance interpersonal skills in the work environment.

Workers in demanding support roles often ignore signs of stress and its impact on their wellbeing. This in turn affects their productivity and effectiveness in the workplace.

This training equips participants to identify and respond effectively to stress signals, decrease emotional reactivity, and maintain their attention where it is needed.

Skills acquired during the training are supported by a series of MP3 audio files, enabling participants to continue to apply mindfulness practices in the workplace.

Who is this for?

  • Community sector workers
  • Any workers wishing to improve their stress management, self-awareness, concentration and interpersonal skills
